I feel much the same about my own college town, being from an even smaller one. Though I only graduated a couple years ago now (which feels surreal) it's amazing how different of a perspective I have on it when I return.
These little posts are always a highlight of my week, and I love planning my morning around getting coffee and a pastry to read them.
Really enjoyed your candor on how you feel about your uni town, and seeing it as a ( completed) chapter. Thought the NYT image really powerful and strong - will stay with me for a long time.
As once-upon-a-time resident of Exeter whose now-passed grandparents lived in Plymouth, kind of sweet to read someone write so fondly of that corner of Devon 💚
I find your Kiosk posts to be one of the more pleasant reminders of time passing.
Thank you so much!
Harrogate is my neck of the woods - I'll definitely pop in!
