Hello!
I’ve decided to try writing a newsletter, as I’d quite like the occasional opportunity to talk a little around the work I create, and I miss the older, simpler days of blogging. I’m not really sure what form it will take yet, which is why I have called it KIOSK. Hopefully it will provide some interesting news and insights, or perhaps you might pick up a useful curio and a coffee. Either way, you’re all very welcome.
For those that don’t know me already, I am an illustrator and author working in London. Having studied and worked in architecture for several years, I became interested in ‘narrative space’, which has led me to all the areas I work in currently. I create editorial and brand illustrations through my agent Brilliant Artists, graphic novels (most recently Victory Point and British Ice), and concept designs.
I won’t bore you with the details, so if you’re new to my work, you can see most of my projects over at my website, owenpomery.com and I recently did an interview with Creative Boom for a bit more background.
So, that’s it for now. Just thought I would say ‘hi’ and run the concept past you. Hopefully there will be more things of interest very soon, perhaps some thoughts on a few things I’ve enjoyed this year. In the meantime, you can find me in all the normal places such as, Twitter (while it lasts) and Instagram.
Thanks for dropping by the KIOSK, and see you again soon. I’ll put the coffee on.
Owen D. Pomery.
