Very exciting to hear the Hard Switch sequel is in relatively advanced stages! All the best with the remaining work.
It would be interesting to hear more about your process on approaching a long form project like this For example you say you finished the writing first, is that always the case? Your Rubik's cube analogy is very good, it sounds like there are a lot of dimensions to consider when working on something like this!
Put me down for a choc ice and let me know if the Kiosk starts serving cocktails... 👍
I think I will talk some more about my writing process in a later newsletter, so will hopefully cover it there, but yes, I always write everything as script first, with a couple of key images that I need to convince myself it will work. More book chat down the line!
I read The Hard Switch relatively recently for the first time so having a sequel to enjoy so quickly after feels like a real treat.
I'd love to know how you went about writing the characters again. Did you have them with you all along or did you have to back and reacquaint yourself with them? Had you expected to ever write about them again?
Yeah, perhaps I'll do a newsletter that get into it more, but creating characters is an odd experience, and they do kind of exist separately to me. It's definitely been nice returning to them.

Thank you, Nat. Really appreciate that.

One of the best science fiction comics I've ever read.
Bravo, and thank you for this second volume.
Thank you, Fred. That really means a lot, and glad you're looking forward to the next one.
I am very excited for the sequel. Absolutely loved The Hard Switch!
Thank you!

Oh, great! Thank you for sharing that.

I'd really like to hear you go into it in more depth.
